Head of Cultivation

KOASTAL is looking for a Head of Cultivation to lead and oversee all aspects of seaweed farming, from communicating with farm managers about local environmental parameters to aggregating and analyzing cultivation data.

As the central expert on growth conditions and cultivation metrics, you will be the authority guiding the company's farming operations. Your insights and leadership will be crucial in making informed decisions that drive success in our cultivation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of seaweed farming operations.
     

  • Communicate with farm managers regarding local environmental parameters and best practices.
     

  • Aggregate and analyze cultivation data to optimize growth conditions.
     

  • Serve as the central authority on growth conditions, environmental drivers, and cultivation metrics.
     

  • Develop strategies to enhance yield and sustainability of seaweed farms.
     

  • Lead data collection efforts for both critical and supplementary cultivation metrics.
     

  • Ensure farms adhere to operational protocols and environmental guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications

​You possess deep expertise in growth conditions, environmental drivers, and data analysis related to biological systems. Experience with data collection and analysis tools, as well as familiarity with environmental monitoring systems, is highly valuable.
