Environmental and Licensing Expert
KOASTAL is looking for an expert in licensing to lead the growth and management of our international network of licenses for seaweed cultivation across Sweden (SE), Norway (NO), and Denmark (DK).
In this pivotal role, you will be the key driver of our environmental and regulatory strategy, working closely with all departments to ensure compliance and facilitate expansion. Your expertise will directly influence the company's growth and ability to operate sustainably.
Responsibilities

Identify optimal cultivation sites based on socio-economic interests, local opinions, and biochemical growth drivers.

Consult with local authorities, businesses, individuals, and other stakeholders regarding identified locations.

Design and execute comprehensive licensing strategies.

Follow up on ongoing license applications and ensure timely approvals.

Manage company operations to ensure compliance with license criteria.

Monitor and adapt to changing regulations and guidelines affecting seaweed cultivation

Develop and maintain relationships with key regulatory bodies.
Skills and Qualifications
You possess a deep understanding of socio-economic factors, environmental regulations, and licence processes with authorities. Experience in navigating and managing complex licensing processes is essential.
Experience in stakeholder engagement, including consultation with local authorities, businesses, and communities, is highly valuable.
We value strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a leadership capacity. You are highly proficient in English, with additional proficiency in Scandinavian languages being advantageous.
